<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet processing device capable of easily taking out a sheet between jobs from a sheet tray by a simple method. <P>SOLUTION: Whether or not to be a first discharge mode is determined (step S30). When the mode is determined to be the first discharge mode, a sheet is discharged in a sandwiched state by a folding roller (step S32). When the mode is determined not to be the first discharge ejection mode (NO in the step S30), whether or not to detect the forefront of a folding sheet is determined (step S34). When it is determined that a discharge sensor detects the tip of the folding sheet (YES in the step S34), the folding roller is separated (step S36).
