<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abnormality detecting method and an abnormality detecting device capable of detecting abnormality caused by exfoliation, flaws, or the like on a ball (sphere) of a ball screw on the basis of data obtained by measurement with an existing measurement device, without requiring a special device. <P>SOLUTION: A method for detecting abnormality comprises the steps of: performing a frequency analysis of measurement results obtained by measuring vibration or a sound occurring when a normal ball screw and a ball screw to be tested are operated under the same predetermined operating conditions; selectively determining frequency bandwidth to be analyzed and a frequency component to be compared with by synchronizing these with a screw shaft rotational frequency in detecting abnormality by comparing frequency analysis data of a normal product and that of a product to be tested; and detecting abnormality with a ball of a ball screw to be tested by comparing the frequency analysis data of a normal product and that of a product to be tested on the basis of the determined frequency bandwidth to be analyzed and frequency component to be compared with. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
