An electrical coaxial connector comprising a signal contact member (20) having a connecting terminal portion (52) and a contacting terminal portion (53), a grounding contact member (21) having an annular engaging portion (26) for engaging with an outer contact member (37) of a mating coaxial connector (30) and a shell portion (44) extending from the annular engaging portion (26) to be connected with an outer conductor (14) of a coaxial cable (11), and a housing (22) made of insulator for supporting the signal contact member (20) and the grounding contact member (21), wherein the connecting terminal portion (52) of the signal contact member (20) is positioned at the outside of the annular engaging portion (26) of the grounding contact member (21) to be connected with a core conductor (12) of the coaxial cable (11) and the contacting terminal portion (53) of the signal contact member (20) is positioned at the inside of the annular engaging portion (26) of the grounding contact member (21) for coming into contact with a central contact member (35) of the mating coaxial connector (30). |
