摘要 <p>In the disclosed liquid crystal display device, alignment films, each extending from a pixel region to a frame region, are formed on a surface of a first substrate facing a liquid crystal layer and a surface of a second substrate facing the liquid crystal layer, respectively, by curing an alignment film material having fluidity. At least one of the first substrate or the second substrate includes a support substrate, and a support structure formed on the support substrate, at least a surface of the support substrate opposite the support substrate being directly covered with the alignment film. The support structure has a side portion formed in such a manner that a tangent plane on the side portion is inclined outward relative to the support structure toward the support substrate. The side portion of the support structure is located in the frame region, and supports an edge of the alignment film.</p>
