PURPOSE: A method for producing neural stem cells from mesenchymal stem cells is provided to obtain neural stem cells which are able to autograft. CONSTITUTION: A method for producing neural stem cells from mesenchymal stem cells comprises: a step of culturing the mesenchymal stem cells in a pre-induction medium containing high glucose DMEM medium; and a step of culturing the mesenchymal stem cells in a neural stem cell induction medium containing DMEM/F-12 medium. The glucose concentration of the high glucose DMEM medium is 20-30 mM. The pre-induction medium further contains L-glutamin and L-alanyl-glutamine. A pre-induction medium composition for inducing the mesenchymal stem cells into neural stem cells contains 8-10% FBS, 1-3 mM glutamine, and 3-5 mM alanyl-glutamine in high glucose DMEM medium.
