PURPOSE: An optical pointing device and a portable electronic device including the same are provided to improve the identifiability of the pointing device even in a dark place as a light emitting zone for a decorative illumination included in a housing emits light. CONSTITUTION: A detecting unit(300) senses the movement of a subject. A housing(100) includes a housing body covering the detecting unit and a light emitting zone(110) penetrated by visible light and included in the hosing body. A light source emits light including the visible light for the lighting of the light emitting zone. A light guide(400) changes a light path of the light to emit the light to the outside of the housing. The light guide includes a guide body(410) included in the housing and a lightning guide changing the light path.
