PURPOSE: A system for intercepting emergency power while the electric vehicle is charged is provided to rapidly charge the electric vehicle without arc generation inside the vehicle and fire danger by cutting off a main power source of a battery charger. CONSTITUTION: An exciting circuit of an electromagnetic contactor for controlling a main power source is connected to a vehicle(10) through a connector(20) while a battery charger(30) is charged. An exciting circuit of the vehicle, which is connected to the exciting circuit, and a switch for emergency interrupting, which opens and closes the exciting circuit are installed in the vehicle. An excitation current of the electromagnetic contactor is cut off in order to cut off the main power source of the switch is controlled by a vehicle controller.
