PURPOSE: A novel Bacillus subtilis IN-55, Lactobacillus plantarum BT-77, and a method for preparing plant silage using the same are provided to be used as an additive for silage fermentation and to improve livestock product quality. CONSTITUTION: A microorganism additive for fermenting plant silage contains Bacillus subtilis IN-55 (KCTC 11914BP) or Lactobacillus plantarum BT-77 (KCTC 11915BP). The plant is rice straw, ryegrass, whole barley, whole rice, wheat, or corn. A method for producing the plant silage comprises a step of adding Bacillus subtilis IN-55 (KCTC 11914BP) or Lactobacillus plantarum BT-77 (KCTC 11915BP) to a plant.
