PURPOSE: A schedule management method of a portable terminal and an apparatus thereof are provided to enable a user to easily register schedule information in a schedule management program after receiving a text message including the schedule information. CONSTITUTION: A portable terminal receives a schedule text message including one or more pieces of schedule information(S201). When the text message is a schedule text message, the portable terminal displays message content including the schedule information based on a schedule text message UI(User Interface)(S205,S209). The portable terminal adds the schedule information included in the text message to the schedule management program(S211~S223).
