<p>PURPOSE: An application service providing device with an external memory and a method thereof are provided to supply an application service without the installation of an application program by immediately executing the application program according to the connection of a USB memory including the application program. CONSTITUTION: A USB connecting unit(10) is connected to a USB memory including an application program. A connection sensing unit(20) senses the connection of the USB memory. If the connection of the USB memory is sensed, a control unit(30) executes the application program installed in the USB memory. An application service providing unit(50) provides an application service corresponding to the application program to a user. An input unit(40) receives environment information and selection information about the application service from the user.
