Ballast device of a railing

The device (1) has a housing for incorporating four receiving elements (2) e.g. bowl, where each receiving element defines a receiving volume for receiving a ballasting product e.g. gravel. The receiving elements are separated from one another by grooves (6a, 6b), which extend along two distinct directions. A supporting unit supports a ballasting slab or post of guardrails. The supporting unit comprises a central platform (10) from which four projections (100) are extended. The projections are formed in bottom parts of the grooves, and ensure spacing of the adjacent receiving elements. An independent claim is also included for an installation for ballasting a guardrail.
