<p>The method involves detecting a state of a chain of traction, and modifying an initial strategy based on speed (V) of a vehicle and beyond threshold speed (SV1) and engine speed when the chain of traction is not opened. An engine e.g. petrol engine, is restarted by implementing the initial strategy if the chain of traction is opened. The engine is restarted by implementing the modified strategy if the chain of traction is not opened. The speed of the vehicle is compared to the threshold speed and another threshold speed (SV2), during modification of the initial strategy. An independent claim is also included for a vehicle.</p> |
