<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of recording a digital broadcast program with permission for one-generation recording with improved usability and copy control. <P>SOLUTION: In the case of first information included in received copy-control information indicating copy generation information, permitting one-generation copy, and second information indicating number-limited-copy permissible, permitting copying of a predetermined plural number of copies, content is local-encrypted and recorded on a first recording device in the state of being permitted to copy up to a predetermined number of copies. A copy control method further includes: a first state of applying, if the local-encrypted content recorded on the first recording device is copied onto a second recording device, a first encryption to the content to transmit it to the second recording device to thereby manage the copied content on the second recording device as "recopy prohibited"; and a second state of applying, if the encrypted content on the first recording device is copied onto a third recording device, a second encryption to the copied content on the third recording device to thereby manage the copied content as "output permissible only for displaying". <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
