<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image forming apparatus that reduces color shift in a conveying direction of a recording medium to a target value of approximately 20 μm or less, which has been achieved by high-grade printers. <P>SOLUTION: Rotation speed of an image carrier on the downstream side is controlled in such a manner that a difference in detection time between tips of a first electrostatic latent image scale of the image carrier and a second electrostatic latent image scale of a transfer medium is reduced in an area of a top margin part that precedes an effective image area in a direction of movement. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
