<p>The piston (1) comprises a ring groove (2) for receiving an oil scraper ring and an oil collecting groove (4) placed adjacent to the ring groove. A piston area (5) is placed between the ring groove and the oil collection groove, which has a knurl (6) with areas limited in peripheral direction and recoiled radially against an outer diameter of the piston. The oil stripped by the oil scraper ring flows into the oil collection groove through the areas. The radially recoiled areas rotate in peripheral direction with another area lying between the former areas.</p>
