<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display horizontally or vertically long image data using a plurality of displays without breaks in display of a subject which a user wants to especially display, such as a face of a person. <P>SOLUTION: A display control unit 103 generates individual pieces of image data again in order to avoid the situation that some of target subjects included in original image data D<SB POS="POST">0</SB>are not displayed. Methods for generating them again are, for example, changing positions of respective display regions D<SB POS="POST">1</SB>, D<SB POS="POST">2</SB>, and D<SB POS="POST">3</SB>on the original image data D<SB POS="POST">0</SB>, enlarging the original image data D<SB POS="POST">0</SB>, and reducing the original image data D<SB POS="POST">0</SB>. Two or more of these methods may be combined.
