<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching power supply device that can further optimize the turn-on timing of a switch for switching an application of a voltage to a coil. <P>SOLUTION: A switching power supply device 100 switches an application of a voltage to a coil L1. The switching power supply device 100 comprises; a switching element Q1 that has a normally-on type first switching element Q1A and a normally-off type second switching element Q2A that are cascode-connected to each other and switches the application of the voltage to the coil L1; and a control circuit 200 that detects a voltage at a cascade connection point of the switching element Q1 and controls turning-on of the switching element Q1 based on the detected voltage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
