POLARIZER PROTECTION FILM, POLARIZER, LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING POLARIZER PROTECTION FILM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizer protection film having unprecedentedly high transmittance and low haze with excellent stability against environmental variation, a method for manufacturing the same, a polarizer having the polarizer protection film, and a liquid crystal display device having the polarizer.

SOLUTION: A polarizer protection film is formed of a single-layer film which contains 80 mass% or more of cellulose ester and has a total light transmittance of 93% or more and a haze of 5% or less. For the film having a total light transmittance T1, and a total light transmittance T2 after one minute heat treatment at Tg+10°C of the film, T1 is higher than T2 by 0.5% or more.
