摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize excellent ignitability with an energy efficiency improved, by effectively utilizing as a blowing force the energy which has been used in induction discharging. <P>SOLUTION: An ignition apparatus 71 is used for an ignition plug 1 having a center electrode 5, a ground electrode 27, and a cavity 28 to form a discharge space while it surrounds at least part of a gap 29 formed between both the electrodes 5 and 27. The ignition apparatus 71 has a voltage applying unit 31 to apply a voltage on the gap 29 and a power supply unit 41 to input an electric power to the gap 29. In addition, an electrostatic capacitance unit 51 including an electrostatic capacitance is installed on the voltage applying path 37 of the voltage applying unit 31 in such an arrangement as parallel with the ignition plug 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
