PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal device, an information providing program and method capable of enhancing an advertising effect.

SOLUTION: A terminal device comprises: position acquisition means for acquiring a position on a screen selected while contents are displayed; and display means for displaying the contents on the screen, acquiring the position from the position acquisition means and acquiring related information including an advertisement corresponding to a selected area which is a partial area including the position, from information storage means for storing the related information corresponding to the contents displayed on the screen and information about the position which shows the partial area on the screen, to display it on the screen.
