<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pharmaceutical composition which contains a compound that is effective in lowering blood sugar and in protecting β cells or pancreas, or its pharmaceutically allowable salt, and which has excellent therapeutic and/or immunizing effects for Type I diabetes, Type II diabetes, etc. that may cause a rise in blood sugar due to saccharometabolism abnormality. <P>SOLUTION: A pharmaceutical composition contains compounds expressed by general formula (I) or its pharmaceutically allowable salt.
