<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problematic point that for improving production efficiency to manufacture many friction plates in a short time, it is required to perform operations of punching, pressing adhesion, and indexing at high speed, pressing time is shortened in the pressing adhesion by the series of operations and sufficient adhesion force is hardly obtained, and a problem that indexing is performed immediately after pressing adhesion and thus positioning deviation of a friction material segment occurs easily. <P>SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a friction plate is a manufacturing method of the friction plate to affix a plural number of friction material segments (32) on a roughly ring type core plate (21), and to temporarily adhere the core plate coated with an adhesive (26) and the friction material segments by pressing them by previously positioning the friction material segments (32) at an affixing position.
