<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk playback device capable of quickly starting to playback contents when returned from other modes. <P>SOLUTION: A disk playback device 100 is a disk playback device having a playback mode of a BD-J disk and other modes except the disk playback mode. The disk playback device 100 includes a disk detecting part 17, a user operating part 19, a playback control part 18, and a data processing part 20. When the disk detecting part 17 detects the insertion of a disk, the playback control part 18 issues a FirstPlayback Title command after the data processing part 20 performs first initialization processing including a plurality of initialization items, when the user operating part 19 detects transition from a playback mode to another mode, the playback control part 18 stops the playback of a disk, and when the user operating part 19 detects the return from the other modes to the playback mode, the data processing part 20 performs second initialization processing obtained by omitting a part of a plurality of initialization items. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
