<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique which is capable of sharing an enclosure member between rear projection type image display devices different in screen size and screen side ratio while maintaining device sizes in depth directions. <P>SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing rear projection type image display devices includes the steps of: assembling a first rear projection type image display device 101; and assembling a second rear projection type image display device 102. The first and second rear projection type image display devices 101 and 102 are different in screen size and screen size ratio. Lengths of a first enclosure 41 and a second enclosure 42 in lateral directions of first and second screens 31 and 32 and depth directions of the first and second enclosures 41 and 42 are equal to each other respectively, but the lengths of the first enclosure 41 and the second enclosure 42 are different from each other in longitudinal directions of the first and second screens 31 and 32. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
