<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a bypass valve member to close a bypass flow channel after discharging condensate even when a thermally-actuated element is rotated during the discharge of the condensate caused by the opening of the bypass flow channel by the bypass valve member. <P>SOLUTION: A valve hole 6 and a bypass flow channel 20 are formed in a valve seat 7. A thermally-actuated element 8 comprising upper and lower wall members 10, 16, a diaphragm 13 with the outer peripheral edge stuck between the upper and lower wall members 10, 16, an expansion medium 14 stored between the upper wall member 10 and the diaphragm 13, and an annular bypass valve member 17 stuck to the lower wall member 16 to open and close the bypass flow channel 20, is disposed above the valve seat 7. The thermally-actuated element 8 is biased downward by a spring 18, and the annular bypass valve member 17 closes the bypass flow channel 20 until an expansion rate of the expansion medium 14 reaches a predetermined value. The annular bypass valve member 17 opens the bypass flow channel 20 by upward displacement when the expansion rate of the expansion medium 14 becomes the predetermined value or more due to the change in quality of the expansion medium 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
