<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curtain airbag capable of being easily wound or folded while improving the performance of preventing a passenger from being thrown out of a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The curtain airbag 100 which inflates and expands from above a side surface of the vehicle interior includes a front chamber 124 ahead of the vehicle of an expansion range 120 expanded by gas, a series of tabs 130a to 130d which is installed almost on the same level along an upper edge 132 of the expansion range 120 other than the front chamber, an additional tab 136 which is installed at a position lower than the series of tabs at the upper edge of the front chamber, and a slit 140 which is installed between the front chamber and a main chamber 122 from the lower edge upward of the curtain airbag. The curtain airbag is wound or folded and accommodated from the lower edge side upward in such a manner that the additional tab is moved to almost the same level with the series of the tabs by opening the slit in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
