<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid developer excellent in dispersion stability of toner particles. <P>SOLUTION: In the liquid developer, toner particles including toner base particles having porosity of 10% or more and 70% or less, and a surface layer formed on a surface of each of the toner base particles are dispersed in insulation liquid. The toner base particles preferably comprise toner material including polyester resin and colorant. The surface layer preferably comprises material including at least one kind of compound selected from the group consisting of silicone wax and a compound having pyrrolidone skeleton. The surface layer has a through hole communicated with a pore on the surface of the toner base particle, and diameter of the through hole on the outside surface of the surface layer is preferably smaller than diameter of the pore on the surface of the toner base particle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
