The present invention provides a trigger message sending method and system. The method comprises: upon receiving a trigger message, an MTC IWF sending load state request signaling to a mobility management entity; upon receiving the load state request signaling, the mobility management entity feeding back load state response signaling to the MTC IWF; and the MTC IWF determining to send the trigger message according to the load state response signaling fed back by the mobility management entity. In the present invention, a load state of the network is acquired through information exchange between the MTC IWF and the mobility management entity, so that the MTC IWF can send a trigger message according to the load state of the network. Especially in the case of network congestion, the sending of the trigger message can be controlled properly, avoiding further aggravation of network congestion. |
