601,267. Anchor nuts. SOC. SECURIT'S E.D.L.C. Aug. 8, 1945, No. 20396. Convention date, Aug. 29, 1941. [Class 89 (i)] An anchor nut construction comprises a flexible strip with spaced holes in which the nuts are secured, with limited play, against rotation ; the nuts directly engaging the work on being tightened. Square or rectangular openings 2, Fig. 1, in an offset part of the strip 1 receive square nuts 4 with flanges 5. The nuts are retained in the holes by applied collars 6 of angular cross-section. The nuts may be of standard or self-locking type. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 describes a modification in which the nuts have flat-sided collars and are mounted in elongated holes in a strip, bent up with ribs 11, Fig. 10 (Cancelled), to restrain rotation, by flanging over an extension 9. This subjectmatter does not appear in the Specification as accepted. |
