<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To divide a chapter efficiently. <P>SOLUTION: An STB 520 comprising a reproduction unit which reproduces a content extracted from the broadcast signal of a television broadcast, and a video recording unit 521 which records a content extracted from a television broadcast on a recording medium, is further provided with a user information database D55 which stores a specific contributor performed contribution of the same type as a contribution, performed from the STB 520 to a contribution site associated with the content during reproduction of the content by the reproduction unit, to the contribution site in tandem, and a chapter generation unit 523 which sets a chapter to a content being recorded in the video recording unit based on the time variation of the number of contributions of the contribution site totalized while giving a larger weight to the contribution of the specific contributor than other contributions, and sets a classification based on the contribution in a time band corresponding to the chapter in the chapter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
