<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting diode display device which has little decline in contract or view angle, even if light emitting diodes are arranged in line and the bases of these light emitting diodes are coated with a resin material. <P>SOLUTION: Each of the light emitting diodes comprises a light emitting element 2, a lead 3 for supplying power to the light emitting element 2, a base 4 for covering the lead 3, lens 5 having a convex emission surface which is so formed as to be joined together with the base 4 and cover the light emitting element 2, and step 6 which is so arranged as to surround the external side face of the lens 5 and has a portion having a different width. The step 6 has a height which specifies an amount of the resin material enough to cover the lead 3 and the base 4. In order to form the light emitting diode display device, a plurality of such light emitting diodes are arranged in line and then the resin material is injected in an amount specified by the step 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
