<p>The cutting machine (1) comprises a rotatable cutting knife (12) which is movable in parallel to the cutting plane, and a carriage (18) for supporting the to-be-cut filamentary material. A mounting device (2) mounts the separated sheets in a storage area on a support surface which is formed by a portion (4) of a belt conveyor (3). The portion (5) of the belt conveyor is pivotally connected to the other portion. The portion (5) can be pivoted and fixed vertically and/or transversely to the transport direction.
