A co-injection moulded plastic lamp seat used in conjunction with a LED bulb includes an insulating base (11) separating a plastic conductive electrode (131) and a plastic grounded electrode (121). The conductivity of the electrode material may be determined by adjusting the proportions of different metallic materials doped into plastic material, so that the input voltage is reduced during transmission, simplifying the need for an internal circuit to step down the voltage. The electrodes (121, 131) may have an electrically conductive material e.g. metal, disposed as a layer on top. The LED light source may comprise multiple LEDs arranged to form a rectifier.
