<p>The device (10) has a cutting knife (14), a cutting edge (16), a product holder (18) and a product down holder (20) mounted based on a selected cutting program. The knife, edge, product holder and product down holder are provided with a coding e.g. binary coding, for distinctly identifying the knife, edge, and holders, and a detection unit (26) detects the coding of the knife, the edge and the holders and is connected with a process control (22). The detection unit determines whether the knife, the edge and the holders are mounted in accordance with the program from the coding. An independent claim is also included for a method for cutting a food product.</p> |
