<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of suppressing the degradation of image quality by image processing such as dither processing, even when a skew amount and a displacement are corrected. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: an image processing means 61 which performs image processing so that the growth direction angle of a pixel is different for each color of image data; an exposure means 6 on which a plurality of LED chips are mounted in a main scan direction; a displacement amount storage means 51 which stores the displacement amount of each LED chip in a sub-scan direction; a patch forming means 55 which shifts and reads the image data in one line to be read in the sub-scan direction in correction amount unit based on the displacement amount, to form a patch for detecting the skew amount; a skew amount detection means 33 which detects the skew amount in the main scan direction of the exposure means; a growth angle direction determination means 57 which instructs the image processing means in the growth direction angle, according to the skew amount; and a shift amount calculation means 58 which determines the shift amount of the image data in the sub-scan direction for each group from the displacement amount and the skew amount. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
