<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylindrical solar cell in which a photoelectric conversion layer on the entire surface of the solar cell contributes to power generation. <P>SOLUTION: A photoelectric conversion element includes a photoelectric conversion layer 40 having a porous semiconductor layer 41 on an inner face or an outer face of a tubular transparent substrate 10.
