<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a guidance on the function of a device to a user who does not know about the function. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus, guidance information is stored in advance for guiding an optimal operation procedure for execution of a job, and the guidance information is displayed on a display portion 102b based on operation input that is input to an input portion 102a in order to execute a job of image formation.
