<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brush polishing device and a brush polishing method capable of accurately grasping a wear condition of a polishing brush to set dressing timing and preventing degradation of machining accuracy due to wear of the polishing brush to apply high-accuracy polishing to a metal ring. <P>SOLUTION: A ring rotating means rotates the metal ring W, and a polishing mechanism 3 moves the polishing brush 2 across a rotational trajectory of the metal ring W. An imaging means 20 images a wear profile of a tip end of a wire 2a constituting the polishing brush 2.
