A method for producing organically modified montmorillonite by processing natural montmorillonite with organic ammonium halogenide, and natural montmorillonite is pre-dispersed in water followed by adding sodium carbonate (NaCO), the resulting mixture is stirred at for one hour and the resulting suspension is treated with a solution of oligo-urethane ammonium chloride (OUAH), with a concentration 3·10eq./liter, in the ratio that corresponds to the exchange capacity of natural montmorillonite under room temperature for two days, followed by filtration and drying the target product. |
