METHOD OF EVALUATING QUALITY OF RADIO LINKS FOR WIRELESS BODY AREA NETWORK, METHOD OF TRANSMITTING MESSAGES, AND DEVICES FOR IMPLEMENTING THOSE METHODS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for evaluating quality of radio links for a body area network.

SOLUTION: The method includes: exploiting messages received by one of wireless devices N1, N2, N3, N4, N5, N6 to measure instantaneous quality of a corresponding radio link and to estimate time periods during which a radio link is reliable and time periods during which a radio link is not reliable; calculating an estimated time period reliability indicator; and classifying the radio links as a function of the reliability indicator into at least two categories including a category relating to intermittently reliable radio links, taking into account mobility of the wireless devices of a body area network.
