A device for growing large germanium crystals by a method of a submerged rotary shaper comprises a water-cooled chamber, a crucible of carbon-carbon composite material sealed by pyrolytic carbon, a stand for the crucible mounted on a rod of rotation, a cylindrical heater, coaxially located inner and outer thermal shields, a shaper rigidly secured on a rod of rotation of a seed crystal, circular outer and inner ceiling and bottom thermal shields. Between the cylindrical heater and inner side thermal shield an additional molybdenum shield is located, while the internal and ceiling and side thermal shields are made of carbon-carbon composite material sealed with pyrolytic carbon, the circular outer ceiling shield is made of molybdenum, and the surface of the inner side thermal shield turned to the crucible and the surface of circular inner ceiling thermal shield turned to the top of chamber are protected by molybdenum sheets. |
