<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer printer capable of suppressing a temperature rise in a ribbon cassette for storing an ink ribbon therein as much as possible. <P>SOLUTION: The thermal transfer printer including a ribbon cassette 11 with an ink ribbon 111 stored therein and a thermal head 21 for performing printing by the thermal transfer of the ink ribbon 111 to a paper sheet S by the thermal head 21 includes an airflow generation mechanism 115 for generating an airflow, and a control means 10 to control the generation of the airflow by the airflow generation mechanism 115, and is constituted so that an airflow passage 113 arranged with at least a part of the thermal head 21 is formed in the ribbon cassette 11, and the airflow generation mechanism 115 is arranged so that the generated airflow passes through the airflow passage 113 of the ribbon cassette 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
