<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle seat that facilitates returning a seat back, which is folded down, to a normal mode even when returning the seat back to the normal mode. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle seat 1 can be shifted from the normal mode enabling the occupant to seat himself/herself to a mode assuming a folded-down attitude in which the seat back 3 almost overlaps a seat cushion 2. The vehicle seat 1 includes a first switching means and a second switching means 70. When either of the switching means is operated, the seat back 3 can be shifted from the normal mode to the mode assuming the folded-down attitude. Furthermore, when first switching means is operated, the seat back 3 shifted from the normal mode to the mode assuming the folded-down attitude assumes the state of being unlocked from the seat cushion 2.
