<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas cutting device which cuts a slab efficiently irrespective of the relative position between the device and a transfer roller, and positions and the number of portions to be cut which are set in the slab, to improve productivity. <P>SOLUTION: The gas cutting device 1 cuts a slab workpiece W at a position determined to be cut. The gas cutting device 1 includes a plurality of transfer rollers 10 which transfer the slab workpiece W loaded thereon, moving carriages 20, 30, and 40 movable in the transfer direction of the slab workpiece W, gas blowing tubes 22, 32, and 42 which move together with the moving carriages 20, 30, and 40 and move along the portions to be cut for cutting the slab workpiece W, a slab stopping means for stopping the slab workpiece W at predetermined positions, a lifter 50 which lifts the slab workpiece W from the transfer rollers 10, and a control unit.
