PURPOSE: A method for isolating calgranulin A and beta-actin and a composition containing an antibody which specifically binds to the protein are provided to diagnose dementia. CONSTITUTION: A method for isolating calgranulin A and beta-actin from blood cells comprises: a step of isolating blood cells including white blood cell(neutrophil, monocyte, macrophage, granulocyte), red blood cells, and platelet; a step of performing DEAE-cellulose column chromatography; a step of performing ammonium sulfate precipitation of the blood cells; a step of performing ubiquitin-sepharose affinity column chromatography; a step of performing electrophoresis of the blood cells; and a step of detecting proteins of blood cells. A composition for treating dementia contains an antibody which specifically binds to calgranulin A and beta-actin.
