<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator for nonaqueous secondary battery having excellent high rate characteristics, cycle characteristics, and safety, and to provide a nonaqueous secondary battery. <P>SOLUTION: In the separator for nonaqueous secondary battery, an A-type zeolite where some cations are previously subjected to Li-ion replacement is placed on a porous support, and at least one kind of polymethacrylic acid methyl, polyethylene glycol or polyvinylidene fluoride having mass average molecular weight of 100,000 or higher is the main body of a binder.
