<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the degree-of-freedom in design of a device while minimizing deterioration of a luminous body. <P>SOLUTION: The light-emitting device comprises an excitation light source unit 6 which emits laser light, and a luminous body 2 which is irradiated with the laser light emitted from the excitation light source unit 6 to emit fluorescent light.
