<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bonding method which improves outer appearance quality by bonding first and second members without melting or dissolving a designed layer in the case of forming the designed layer. <P>SOLUTION: In the bonding method for bonding the translucent first member 3 and the second member 2 by using the laser light L, the designed layer 4 which does not transmit the laser light, is formed so that a design appears on a front side of the first member 3. A thermosetting resin 5 is formed adjacently to the designed layer 4. The laser light, which heats the designed layer 4 to a predetermined temperature which does not exceed a melting or dissolving temperature of the designed layer 4, is irradiated from a side of the laser-light transmissive member.
