<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system which is capable of printing document data with a quality an output device guarantees, based on a print setting at the time of a print request, even when the print request and a print execution instruction are performed at different timings and the output device with which the document data is printed is not determined at the time of the print request. <P>SOLUTION: A common print setting designation means 71 leads a user to designate a print setting for a document data for which a print request is made, from common print settings that include respective print settings capable of being set for each output terminal. Preparation object selecting means 92 selects one kind from data preparation means for print output 91 according to the output terminal, when a print execution instruction is made accompanied by the designation of output terminal and document data.
