<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus that can adequately assist a user to completely stand up from a seated position with the weight of the body on the legs. <P>SOLUTION: A standing aid includes: a seat 15; an armrest member 14 being separated from than the seat 15; a first connection mechanism 30 for swingably supporting the seat 15 such that the rear back of the seat 15 is lifted up, with the front end of the seat 15 as a fulcrum point, from the substantially horizontal position; a first driving device 21 for actuating the first connection mechanism 30; a second connection mechanism 40 for supporting the armrest member such that the armrest member 14 moves horizontally and obliquely upward in a forward direction; and a second driving device 25 for actuating the second connection mechanism 40. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
